How to sync Apple Calendar with Cozyla Calendar?

Connect your Apple Calendar to Cozyla Calendar so your Apple events can appear on your Cozyla device.
 
Apple Calendar supports Two-Way Sync, so supported changes made in Cozyla Calendar can sync back to the Apple Calendar you select as the sync target.
 

Before You Begin

Before connecting Apple Calendar, make sure:
  • Your Cozyla device is connected to the internet.
  • You can sign in to the Apple ID connected to your calendar.
  • Your Apple account has completed Apple's Terms of Service acceptance.
  • You can generate an Apple app-specific password.
Important
A new Apple ID must be signed in on an Apple device at least once and must accept Apple's Terms of Service before calendar syncing can work.
Not Supported
Synchronization of Apple Tasks and Reminders is not supported at this time.

Connect Apple Calendar

  1. Open Settings on your Cozyla device.
  2. Tap Calendars.
  3. In the member section where you want to add a calendar, tap Add.
  4. Tap Apple.
  5. Tap Add Account.
  6. Tap Generate Password.
  7. Sign in with your Apple account.
  8. Scroll to App-Specific Passwords.
  9. Select Generate an app-specific password.
  10. Copy the generated password.
  11. Return to Connect Apple Calendar on your Cozyla device.
  12. Enter your Apple ID.
  13. Enter the app-specific password.
  14. Tap Two-Way Sync.
  15. When your available Apple calendars appear:
    • Use the toggles to choose which calendars you want to sync.
    • Select the member profile each calendar should sync to.
  16. Tap Done to finish setup.
 

Manage Connected Apple Calendars

After connecting Apple Calendar, you can remove a connected calendar or reassign it to another member profile.
  1. Tap the arrow next to the member avatar.
  2. Review the connected calendars listed under that member.
  3. Tap the ... menu next to the calendar you want to manage.
  4. Choose whether to:
    1. Remove the calendar.
    2. Reassign the calendar to another member profile.

Show or Hide Apple Calendar Events

Each connected calendar includes a checkbox.
  • Checked — Events from that calendar appear in Cozyla Calendar.
  • Unchecked — Events from that calendar are hidden.
If some Apple Calendar events appear to be missing, confirm that the correct calendars are checked.
 

Important Information About Reassigning Third-Party Calendars

Third-party calendars can only be linked to a single user account.
If you reassign an event from one member to another:
  • The event syncs to the new member's linked calendar if that member has a calendar selected as the sync target.
  • The event is removed from the original linked calendar account.
To avoid events disappearing or syncing unexpectedly:
  • Add a Profile directly to the event instead of reassigning the event to another member.
  • Or create a dedicated Family Profile specifically for connecting this type of third-party calendar.
