Create a Custom Chore

Create a custom chore from scratch and assign it to one or more family members. You can customize the chore name, schedule, reminders, star rewards, and chore type.

Before You Start

Make sure:
  • Your family profiles have already been created.
  • You are on the Tasks tab in the Navigation Bar.

Create a Custom Chore

  1. Tap the blue + icon in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Select Add Chore.
  3. The Add Chore panel opens.
  4. Enter the chore details, including:
    1. Chore name
    2. Optional chore icon
    3. Star reward
    4. Assignees
    5. Schedule and time
    6. Reminder
  5. Tap Done to save the chore.
 

Chore Settings

Assign Stars

Assign stars as a reward for completing the chore.
  • Tap + or − to increase or decrease the number of stars.
  • Or enter the number directly.

Chore Type

Choose how the chore is assigned to family members.

Individual

Each selected family member receives their own copy of the chore and can complete it independently.

Compete

Assign the chore to multiple family members.
The first person to complete the chore earns the stars.

Rotate

The chore automatically rotates between the selected family members based on the schedule.

Troubleshooting

The Chore Does Not Appear

  • Verify you tapped Done before leaving the Add Chore screen.
  • Confirm the chore is scheduled for the correct date and time.

Stars Were Assigned Incorrectly

  • Open the chore and edit the Stars value.
  • Save the changes.
If the issue continues, contact Cozyla Support and include:
  • Your Cozyla device serial number (SN)
  • Your Cozyla ID
  • A brief description of the issue
  • A screenshot or short video, if available
