You can connect your Apple Calendar to Cozyla Calendar so your Apple events appear on your Cozyla device. Apple Calendar setup requires your Apple ID and an Apple app-specific password.
Before You Begin
Before connecting Apple Calendar, make sure:
- Your Cozyla device is connected to the internet
- You can sign in to the Apple ID connected to your calendar
- Your Apple account has completed Apple’s Terms of Service acceptance
- You can generate an Apple app-specific password
⚠️ A new Apple ID must be logged into an Apple device at least once and must accept Apple’s Terms of Service before syncing can work.
⚠️ Synchronization of Apple Tasks and Reminders is not supported at this time.
Sync Apple Calendar With Cozyla Calendar
- Open Settings on your Cozyla device.
- Tap Calendars.
- In the member section where you want to add the calendar, tap Add.
- Tap Apple.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Generate Password.
- Sign in with your Apple account.
- Scroll to App-Specific Passwords.
- Select Generate an app-specific password.
- Copy the generated password.
- Return to Connect Apple Calendar on your Cozyla device.
- Enter your Apple ID.
- Enter the app-specific password.
- Tap Two-Way Sync to continue.
- Your available Apple calendars will appear.

Use the toggles to select:
- Which calendars you want to sync
- Which member profile each calendar should sync to
- Tap Done to finish setup.
Manage Connected Apple Calendars
After connecting Apple Calendar, you can remove calendars, reassign calendars, or control which calendars appear on the screen.
- Tap the arrow next to the member avatar.
- Review the connected calendars list.
- Tap the ... menu next to a connected calendar.

Choose whether to:
- Remove the calendar
- Reassign the calendar to another member profile
Show or Hide Calendar Events
Each connected calendar includes a checkbox.
- Checked = events from that calendar appear on your Cozyla Calendar
- Unchecked = events from that calendar are hidden
If some events appear to be missing, confirm the correct calendars are still checked.
Important Information About Reassigning Third-Party Calendars
Because third-party calendars can only be linked to a single user account, reassigning an event from one member to another will cause the event to sync to the new account (if the new member has a linked calendar selected as the sync target) and be removed from the original linked calendar account.
To avoid issues such as events disappearing or syncing unexpectedly:
- We recommend adding a Profile directly to the event instead of reassigning it to another member
- Alternatively, you can create a dedicated Family Profile specifically for connecting this type of third-party calendar
Troubleshooting
Apple Calendar Events Are Missing
If your events do not appear:
- Confirm your Cozyla device is connected to the internet
- Go to Settings > Calendars
- Confirm your Apple account is still connected
- Confirm the correct calendars are checked
- Confirm the calendar is assigned to the correct member profile
- Wait a few minutes for sync to complete
Apple ID or Password Does Not Work
Make sure you are using an Apple app-specific password, not your normal Apple ID password.
You may need to:
- Generate a new app-specific password
- Reconnect the Apple Calendar account
- Confirm Apple Terms of Service have been accepted on an Apple device
