You can connect your Google Calendar to Cozyla Calendar so your Google events appear on your Cozyla device. Google Calendar supports two-way sync, so supported changes you make in Cozyla Calendar can sync back to the Google Calendar you select as the sync target.
Before You Begin
Before connecting Google Calendar, make sure:
- Your Cozyla device is connected to the internet
- You can sign in to the Google account connected to your calendar
- You know which Google calendars you want to show on Cozyla Calendar
- You know which member profile each calendar should sync to
Sync Google Calendar With Cozyla Calendar
- Open Settings in the top-right corner.
- Tap Calendars.
- In the member section where you want to add a calendar, tap Add.
- Tap Google.
- Tap Two-Way Sync to continue.
- Sign in with your Google account.
- When your calendars appear, use the switches to choose which calendars you want to sync.
- Select which member profile each calendar should sync to.
- Tap Done to finish setup.
Manage Connected Google Calendars
After your Google Calendar is connected, you can remove a calendar or reassign it to another profile.
- Tap the arrow next to the member avatar.
- Review the connected calendars listed under that member.
- Tap the ... menu next to the calendar you want to manage.
- Choose whether to remove the calendar or reassign it to another profile.
Show or Hide Google Calendar Events
Each connected calendar has a checkbox.
- Checked = events from that calendar appear on your Cozyla Calendar
- Unchecked = events from that calendar are hidden from the screen
If some Google Calendar events are missing, confirm the relevant calendars are checked.
Important Information About Reassigning Third-Party Calendars
Because third-party calendars can only be linked to a single user account, reassigning an event from one member to another will cause the event to sync to the new account if the new member has a linked calendar selected as the sync target. The event will also be removed from the original linked calendar account.
To avoid issues such as events disappearing or syncing unexpectedly:
- Add a Profile directly to the event instead of reassigning the event to another member
- Or create a dedicated Family Profile specifically for connecting this type of third-party calendar
Troubleshooting
Google Calendar Events Are Missing
If some events do not appear on your Cozyla Calendar:
- Confirm your Cozyla device is connected to the internet.
- Go to Settings > Calendars.
- Confirm your Google account is still connected.
- Confirm the correct Google calendars are checked.
- Confirm each calendar is assigned to the correct member profile.
- Confirm the event belongs to the Google Calendar you selected during setup.
- Wait a few minutes for sync to complete.
Changes Are Not Syncing Back to Google Calendar
If changes made in Cozyla Calendar do not sync back to Google Calendar:
- Confirm you selected the correct Google Calendar as the sync target.
- Confirm the event is associated with the correct profile and calendar.
- Refresh the calendar or wait a few minutes for sync to complete.
The Wrong Calendar Is Receiving Events
If events sync to the wrong Google Calendar, check which calendar is selected as the sync target. Update the calendar selection if needed.
