Applies to: Cozyla+ Mobile App
You can connect a third-party calendar to Cozyla Calendar using CalDAV if the calendar provider supports CalDAV and provides a CalDAV URL.
This article uses Zoho Calendar as an example. Other calendar providers may use different settings pages or labels.
Make sure you have:
- Access to the Cozyla+ Mobile App
- Access to the third-party calendar account you want to connect
- The CalDAV URL from your calendar provider
- The email address and password required by your calendar provider
- A stable internet connection
Find the CalDAV URL
- Open the browser on your device.
- Go to the third-party calendar provider’s website. In this example, we use Zoho Calendar.
- Log in to your calendar account.
- Open Settings.
- Find the CalDAV URL.The CalDAV URL is provided by third-party calendar services that support the CalDAV sync protocol.
- Tap Copy to copy the CalDAV URL to your clipboard.
- Open the Cozyla+ Mobile App.
- Tap Settings in the top-right corner.
- Tap Add next to the avatar.
- Select CalDAV.
- In the Server Address field, paste the CalDAV URL you copied. The copied URL may appear above the keyboard. Tap it to paste.
- Enter your calendar email address. For the Zoho example, enter your Zoho calendar email address.
- Enter the password required by your calendar provider.
- Tap Confirm.
After syncing is complete, events from the connected CalDAV calendar should appear in Cozyla.
Third-party calendars, including CalDAV calendars, can only be linked to a single user account.
If you reassign an event from one member to another, the event may:
- Sync to the new member account if the new member has a linked calendar selected as the sync target
- Be removed from the original linked calendar account
- Appear to disappear or sync unexpectedly between members
To avoid issues such as events disappearing or syncing unexpectedly, we recommend adding a Profile directly to the event instead of reassigning it to another member.
Alternatively, you can create a dedicated Family Profile specifically for connecting this type of third-party calendar.
CalDAV Calendar Does Not Connect
If your CalDAV calendar does not connect:
- Confirm your internet connection is working.
- Confirm the calendar provider supports CalDAV.
- Confirm the CalDAV URL was copied correctly.
- Confirm you entered the correct calendar email address.
- Confirm you entered the correct password required by your calendar provider.
- Tap Confirm again.
CalDAV Events Do Not Appear
If your CalDAV events do not appear in Cozyla Calendar:
- Confirm the CalDAV calendar account is still active.
- Confirm the events are saved in the calendar account you connected.
- Confirm the correct member or profile is selected in Cozyla Calendar.
- Refresh Cozyla Calendar and wait a few minutes for events to sync.
Events Disappear After Reassigning Them
If events disappear after you reassign them to another member:
- Check whether the new member has a linked calendar selected as the sync target.
- Check whether the event was removed from the original linked calendar account.
- Add a Profile directly to the event instead of reassigning the event owner.
- Consider using a dedicated Family Profile for shared third-party calendar events.
