Use this guide if your Cozyla device is stuck on the “Device is starting” screen, or if the device can open the normal interface but system functions such as Settings, Screensaver, or the pull-down menu are not responding.
Case 1: Device Is Stuck on “Device is starting”
If the device remains on the “Device is starting” screen and cannot enter the normal interface, use Recovery Mode to perform a factory reset.
Factory Reset Through Recovery Mode
- Power off or unplug the device.
- Press and hold all three physical buttons on the bottom of the device.
- While continuing to hold all three buttons, plug the power back in.
- When the device enters Recovery Mode, release the buttons.
- Press Volume – to select the Reset option, then press the Power button to confirm.
- Select Reset again, then press the Power button to confirm the factory reset.
- Wait for the reset process to complete.
- Select Reboot to restart the device.
After the device restarts, check whether it can enter the normal interface.
Case 2: Settings, Screensaver, or Pull-Down Menu Is Not Responding
Use these steps if the device can enter the normal interface, but system functions such as Settings, Screensaver, or the pull-down menu are not responding.
Install the Updater Hotfix
- Open App Library.
- Tap Cozyla Updater.
- Tap Upgrade All in the top-left corner.
- Wait until Czlappstore reaches 100%.
- The status will then change to Installing. Allow approximately 5–15 minutes for the installation to complete.
- When the installation is complete, the installation page will close automatically.
- Close App Library, then open it again.
- Open Cozyla Updater, then close the updater page.
- Try opening Settings again.
Check whether the affected functions, including Settings, Screensaver, and the pull-down menu, have returned to normal.
